Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, who sees it, and how to get it back or have it deleted. Written to be read rather than to be survived.

Draft — requires legal review

This policy describes this website as it currently behaves. Items in square brackets are unresolved and must be completed by whoever registers the entity. It must also be re-checked once a chat provider, form endpoint, or analytics tool is enabled — each of those changes what this document has to disclose.

1. Who we are

Block Pulse Global is a fund recovery consultancy registered in [jurisdiction]. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, we are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

Questions about this policy, or about your data, go to support@blockpulseglobal.com.

2. What we collect

We collect only what assessing and pursuing a case requires.

  • Information you give us. Your name, contact details, the details of the fraud, and any documents you send — bank statements, correspondence with the fraudster, reports you have filed, and identification.
  • Information created during a case. Our forensic findings, fund flow analysis, correspondence with institutions and counsel, and case notes.
  • Information collected automatically. Standard server records — IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps — retained for security and diagnostic purposes.
  • Verification information. Where we are required to carry out anti-money laundering and know-your-customer checks, the identification and proof-of-address documents those obligations require.

We do not collect special category data, and we ask that you do not send it. If a case requires it, we will tell you why and how to send it securely.

3. Why we collect it

  • To assess whether your case is recoverable, and to tell you honestly if it is not.
  • To pursue recovery: tracing funds, corresponding with institutions and counsel, and filing where necessary.
  • To meet legal obligations, including anti-money laundering and record-keeping requirements.
  • To communicate with you on the schedule set out in your engagement agreement.
  • To secure this website and detect abuse.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not use the details of your case to market other services to you.

4. Our lawful basis

Depending on the processing, we rely on one of the following: performance of a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, your consent where we have asked for it, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing our business — balanced against your rights, which we have assessed.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.

5. Who we share it with

Never for marketing or commercial purposes. Sharing is limited to what a case requires, and we tell you when it happens:

  • Financial institutions. Banks, payment processors, and card networks, to the extent needed to trace funds or request a recall or freeze.
  • Retained counsel. Local lawyers engaged on your case, who are bound by their own professional confidentiality obligations.
  • Regulators and law enforcement. Where we are legally required to report, or where you have asked us to support a report you have made.
  • Service providers. Hosting, document storage, and communication providers acting on our instructions under written agreements. This includes Smartsupp, which operates the live chat widget described in section 9.

Where a transfer leaves your jurisdiction, we put appropriate safeguards in place and will tell you what they are on request.

6. How long we keep it

Case records are kept for the period required by our professional indemnity cover and by anti-money laundering record-keeping obligations in the relevant jurisdiction, and are then deleted or anonymised. Website server logs are kept for a much shorter period.

Unsuccessful enquiries that do not become cases are held for a shorter period and are deleted on request.

7. How we protect it

Encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to your case lead and the specialists working your file. Access is logged. Documents are held on infrastructure in your region where the applicable law requires it.

Where we need to send you something sensitive, we use an encrypted channel rather than ordinary email — and we tell you which channel before we use it.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Ask us to delete data, where no legal obligation requires us to keep it.
  • Ask us to restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

To exercise any of these, write to support@blockpulseglobal.com. We respond within the period required by applicable law. There is no charge, and exercising a right will not affect how your case is handled.

9. Cookies and analytics

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own and runs no third-party analytics. It uses only what is strictly necessary for it to function.

The one exception is live chat. Every page loads a chat widget operated by Smartsupp, a third-party provider, so you can reach us without leaving the page. That widget loads with the page rather than only when you click it, which means Smartsupp may set its own cookies and receive technical information about your visit — including your IP address and the pages you view — before you interact with it at all. Those cookies are set by Smartsupp, not by us.

If you would rather not be subject to them, a browser setting or extension that blocks third-party scripts will stop the widget loading. The rest of the site works without it, and you can always reach us by email or phone instead. If analytics or advertising tags are added later, this section will be updated and a consent mechanism introduced before they are switched on — not after.

10. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, tell us first at support@blockpulseglobal.com — we would rather fix it than have it escalated. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your jurisdiction, and we will tell you which one applies if you ask.

11. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes materially, we will tell clients with open cases directly. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
