General questions
What exactly does a fund recovery service do?
We trace where your money went, identify who holds it now, and pursue its return through financial institutions, negotiation, or legal proceedings. We are not a law enforcement agency and we cannot make arrests — our work is civil and financial.
How is this different from what my bank is doing?
Your bank is usually limited to its own transaction window and its own institution. We follow the funds across institutions and borders, which is where most bank investigations stop.
Do I need a lawyer as well as you?
Usually not separately. We engage local counsel as part of the case when legal action is required, rather than leaving you to find, appoint, and instruct them yourself.
Can you guarantee you will recover my money?
No, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. We assess every case honestly at intake and tell you when we think recovery is unlikely.
What if I already tried another recovery firm?
We take on second-attempt cases regularly. Bring whatever the previous firm produced — even a failed attempt leaves a record we can work from.

Process questions
How long does the whole process take?
Between one week and one month for most cases, from consultation to recovery. Straightforward recall cases resolve at the fast end of that; multi-jurisdiction claims sit at the slow end. Your assessment will include a realistic estimate for your case.
What happens in the first three days?
We review your documentation, confirm the fraud typology, trace the immediate fund movement, and send you a written assessment of whether recovery is realistic.
How often will I hear from you?
On a fixed schedule based on your case tier — weekly, fortnightly, or monthly — whether or not there is news.
What if my case stalls?
You will be told it has stalled, why, and what the options are. We do not go quiet during a difficult phase.
5 questions
Legal & jurisdiction
Can you recover funds that have left my country?
Yes, and cross-border matters are the majority of our caseload. We work with retained counsel in nine jurisdictions and can engage further where needed.
Which jurisdictions do you operate in?
Headquartered in New York, with counsel networks across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Where a case falls outside our network we will tell you rather than improvise.
Do I have to take legal action?
Not always. Many cases resolve through institution-led recalls, chargebacks, or negotiated returns. Litigation is one route among several and the one we choose last, because it is the slowest.
Will my case become public?
Civil filings are a matter of public record in most jurisdictions. We will tell you before anything is filed and discuss what can be done to limit exposure.
How long do I have to act?
It varies by jurisdiction and fraud type, and some routes have windows measured in days. This is the single strongest reason not to wait before getting an assessment.
4 questions
Success rate
What is your success rate?
95% across cases we accept. The figure matters less than the qualifier: we decline cases we do not believe are recoverable, so our accepted-case rate is not the same as a rate applied to every enquiry.
How do you define a successful recovery?
Any amount returned to the client. Our reported percentages show the proportion of the original loss recovered, not simply whether some money came back.
What affects whether a case succeeds?
Four things, in order of impact: how quickly the case reaches us, whether the funds are still traceable, whether the receiving institution will cooperate, and the quality of the client's documentation.
Do you report cases you fail to recover?
Yes. Every case we accept is counted in our published statistics, including the ones that recover nothing.
4 questions
Privacy & data
Who sees my documents?
Your case lead and the specialists working your file. Where local counsel or a financial institution requires a document, we share only what is necessary and tell you when we do.
Is my information shared with third parties?
Never for marketing or commercial purposes. Sharing is limited to what a case requires — counsel, institutions, or regulators — and is covered in your engagement agreement.
How is my data stored?
Encrypted at rest and in transit, held on infrastructure in your region where required, and retained only as long as the case and our regulatory obligations require.
Can I request deletion of my data?
Yes, once the case is closed and statutory retention periods have passed. The request route is published in the Privacy Policy.
